1. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has launched the International Air Connectivity Scheme(IACS).

A) This scheme has the objective of enhancing air connectivity from India’s certain states with selected international destinations to promote socio-economic activity.

B) This newly launched scheme has been supported by the State Governments.

2. NASA and SpaceX jointly launched a mission for the International Space Station (ISS) as a part of the Commercial Crew Program.

A) This mission will be launched on 20th April from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Complex 39A.

B) The crew consists of NASA astronauts Kjell Lindgren, Bob Hines, Jessica Watkins, and Samantha Cristoforetti of the European Space Agency.

3. On 5th April National Maritime Day is observed across the country.

A) This day is celebrated to improve the condition of India’s maritime trade.

B) ‘Sustainable Shipping Beyond COVID-19’ is the theme for this day.

4. Recently, The Lok Sabha passed the Criminal Procedure(Identification) Bill,2022.

A) The Objective of these amendments was to improve the conviction rate in the country to protect the human rights of crores of law-abiding citizens and send a strong message to society.

B) During the debate on the Bill, the Opposition members expressed concern over the issue of data protection, possible misuse of the proposed law, violation of the citizen’s right to privacy and other fundamental rights.

5. The Union government has appointed Vinay Mohan Kwatra as the next Foreign Secretary.

A) Mr.Mohan Kwatra, a 1988 batch officer, had served as Ambassador to France, Deputy Chief of Mission in Beijing.

B) Foreign Secretary of India worked under the Ministry of External Affairs.

C) The 33rd and current foreign secretary of India is Harsh Vardhan Shringla.

6. Union Education and Skill Development Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan released a book “Birsa Munda – Janjati Nayak”.

A) This book was written by Prof. Alok Chakrawaland.

B) This book has been prepared for the struggle of protecting the forest of Manada ji of the Guava bacteria fraternity.

7. The Union Minister of Environment, Forest & Climate Change launched a mascot ‘Prakriti’.

A) Shri Bhupendra Yadav is the Union Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

B) Shri Bhupender Yadav urged everyone to join in the efforts to beat plastic pollution and work towards a better future and He appreciated the innovative solutions developed by start-ups.

8. The latest series of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) Sixth Assessment Report has been released.

A)The report highlights that by 2050 all unabated coal-fired power plants need to be shut down otherwise it would be difficult to maintain the global temperature rise limit to 1.5 degrees Celsius.

B) This report also highlights that the annual public and private financing for the mitigation and adaptation of climate change increased by 60 percent from 2013 to 2020.

9. Aleksandar Vučić has been re-elected as the President of Serbia.

A) He has served as the President for two terms, from 2014 to 2016 and from 2016 to 2017.

B) Serbia is a landlocked country located in Southeast Europe and their borders share with Montenegro, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia and North Macedonia.
