1.NITI Aayog has released the Second Edition of Export Preparedness Index 2021.

A) NITI Aayog along with the Institute of Competitiveness, released the Export Preparedness Index (EPI) 2021.

B) The index can be used to benchmark their performance against their peers analyse potential challenges to develop better policy mechanisms to foster

export-led growth at the subnational level.

C) This edition has shown that most of the ‘Coastal States’ are among the best performers.

2.’The International Day for the Right to the Truth’ observed on 24th March.

A) This day is observed to pay tribute to Monsignor Oscar Arnulfo Romero.

B) Objective of this day is to honour the memory of all the victims of systematic human rights violations.

3.On 25th March  83rd the Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF) Day was celebrated at Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu.

A) This Day is celebrated in a grand ceremony marked with pomp,enthusiasm and fervour.

B) On this day in 1950,the first Home Minister of India,Vallabh Bhai Patel, presented President Colours to the CRPF.

4.Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation signs MoU with Indian Institute of Science(IISc).

A) Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) for the development of Machine Vision Based Inspection System (MVIS).

B) This MoU sign for monitoring rolling stock health was inked between DFCCIL and IISc.

5.In the current fiscal year, goods and services procurement from the government portal GeM has crossed the mark of Rs 1 lakh crore.

A) This occurred due to a growth in the buying activities by various departments and ministries.

B) The GeM portal is also being integrated with the Panchayati raj institutions so that they can also buy and sell via online mode.

C) Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat are among the top five states which are buying from this portal.

6.Recently Agriculture Insurance Company of India inked a pact with HDFC Bank.

A) This strategic tie-up will ultimately be beneficial mainly to the small and marginal farmers of the country.

B) It will strengthen and consolidate the PM’s vision of ‘Doubling of Farmers Income’ and ‘Atma Nirbhar Kisan’.

7.India’s exports crossed the USD 400 billion mark  in this  fiscal year.

A) This is the first time this milestone has been achieved due to good performance by sectors like petroleum products, jewellery and gems, engineering and gems,etc.

B) The country had a target of USD 400 billion for merchandise export set for FY2022 which was achieved with 10 days remaining in the fiscal year.

8.Four companies were selected for receiving benefits under the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for advanced chemistry cell battery storage.

A) The ministry said that the companies will receive incentives up to Rs 18,100 crore to boost local battery cell production.

B) These four companies are Rajesh Exports, Hyundai Global Motors Company,Ola Electric Mobility and Reliance New Energy respectively.

9.Maruti Suzuki appointed Hisashi Takeuchi as the new managing director and CEO.

A) Takeuchi joined Suzuki Motor Corporation(SMC) in 1986.

B) Maruti Suzuki, formerly known as Maruti Udyog Limited, is an Indian automobile manufacturer founded in 2001.

10.India abstained from United Nation General Assembly(UNGA) votes on 24 March against Russia.

A) India abstained on two resolutions at the UNGA.The first abstention was on a draft resolution proposed by Ukraine that held Russia responsible for the crisis.

B)The second was a procedural vote on whether the UNGA ought to take up a second resolution, proposed by South Africa, for action at all.
